Homebrew Spells

Following are spells either reworked from or added to the Graduated Powers list currently in use. This page will probably grow as time goes on.

Command Undead (Void-based)
Rank: Cost: Range: Duration: Effect:
Novice 2 Smarts Inst Caster can ward off undead in a LBT around him with an opposed Spirit check. With a success, undead cannot approach; with a raise, they must retreat to the limits of the template.
Seasoned 3 Smarts Inst Caster does 2d8 damage to all undead within a LBT. Spirits are banished or laid to rest, while corporeal undead are destroyed.
Veteran 4 Smarts Inst Caster does 2d10 damage to all undead within a LBT. Spirits are banished or laid to rest, while corporeal undead are destroyed.
Heroic 4 per target Smarts 1 rnd per target Allows the caster to create zombies, or skeletons for another Power Point each. Creations will not attack the caster, but are not under her control either.
Legendary 5 per target Smarts 1 rnd per 4 targets Allows the caster to create and control zombies, or skeletons for another Power Point each.

Turn Undead (Ki-based)

Heroic 5 Smarts Inst Caster does 2d12 damage to all undead within a LBT. Spirits are banished or laid to rest, while corporeal undead are destroyed.
Legendary 6 Smarts 4 rnds Allows the caster to speak with a known dead spirit. One question can be posed per round of the spell. On a raise, an image of the deceased appears as well. A roll of 1 on the arcane die may summon the incorrect spirit, possibly hostile to the caster.

Sleep (Ki-based)

As the Fear spell, replacing Guts check with Vigor check.

Rank: Effect:
Novice Target can be woken with appropriate actions which require a move action to perform, or from loud enough noises. (Notice check -2)
Seasoned Target enters a magical sleep and is not granted any automatic Notice checks, but may still be awakened by appropriate actions.
Veteran Target cannot be woken for 1 full turn, even by taking damage. (Dispel works as normal)
Heroic As Veteran
Legendary Target cannot be woken for 2 full turns, even by taking damage. (Dispel works as normal)
